CCS sport: Adelia shows them how it’s done

Our own Adelia Reyneke in our new Australia office has just made her mark in the Australian National Track Cycling championships.

Well Done Adelia!!

The FaceBook page of Cycling NSW has this to say:

Congratulations to Perth rider Adelia Reyneke who not only beat US rider Jacqui Lockwoods 2000 masters 2 hour record of 40.7 at Sydney’s Dunc Gray Velodrome today with 166 laps/41,5km in 1hr.09.445 – but could walk and talk afterwards! Adelia only took up track cycling a year ago…broke the record unofficially at a club hour and power night. .and decided to do it officially in Sydney during the national masters champs. She tells us she would like to go after the professional record now. She paid tribute to her coach Amanda O’Connor and said her secret was remaining calm and peaceful and breaking the hour into 12 x 5 minute sections…as well as going a little faster toward the end.
