Payroll Accountant with BuildSmart Payroll experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration/Finance required, Accounting Degree preferred
  • Three plus years in a Payroll Office performing all payroll functions
  • Excellent skills using MS Word, Excel, Access, and Internet Explorer
  • Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
  • Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
  • Must be BuildSmart experience.
  • Thorough knowledge about UAE labor law.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of payroll for over 500 employees
  • Review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions.
  • Responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll, human resources, budget and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data
  • Responsible for preparation of employee’s final settlement as per UAE labor law.
  • Establish/maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on timely basis; review changes for proper authorization and adherence to APA policy including compliance with federal/state /local regulations.

Payable Accountant with Buildsmart experience

  • Excellent skills using MS Word, Excel, Access, and Internet Explorer
  • Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated accounting system
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
  • Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
  • BuildSmart experience is an added advantage.

Job Description:

  • enter and upload supplier and subcontractor invoices into system
  • set invoices up for payment
  • review and verify invoices and check requests
  • track expenses and process expense reports
  • prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • prepare and perform check runs
  • post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
  • reconcile accounts payable transactions
  • prepare analysis of accounts
  • monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • maintain vendor files
  • correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  • produce monthly reports
  • assist with month end closing
  • provide supporting documentation for audits
