New Project: Al Jaber Engineering and Tekfen win Qatar stadium contract
CCS Client AlJaber Engineering (JEC) together with Tekfen Construction, as joint-venture partners, have been awarded the construction contract for the stadium in the Al Thumama district of Doha, Qatar.
Al Thumama Stadium – one of the proposed venues for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar – is the seventh stadium for which the main construction contract has been awarded.
The venue, located just minutes from Hamad International Airport and in the center of Doha, is scheduled for completion by 2020 and will host matches up to the quarter-final stage.
The 40,000 seat stadium will have a reduced capacity of 20,000 seats in its post tournament legacy mode as part of the SC’s modular stadium legacy plans.
CCS would like to congratulate AlJaber Engineering (JEC) on securing such a landmark project. We wish them every success and assure them of our continued support and assistance during the execution of this and future projects.
