CCS Gulf held its Candy User Seminar at the Al Bustan Hotel in Dubai on the 19th of May 2015. The CCS Gulf Candy team took the almost 250 users through some existing, advanced and new features of Candy, while our special guest speakers: Mr. Peter Cheney (Joint MD of CCS) and Mr. Greg Walsh (Director of CCS Australia and former FD of ALEC) provided some interesting, first-hand perspectives on software development and Dubai’s construction boom.

After a very successful and famous showing at the 2013 Big 5 event, the largest event of its kind in the Middle East, CCS along with some of our leading partners were back showcasing our products and services in unique style at the 2014 edition in November last year.

2,800 exhibitors from 61 countries and over 80 000 people came through the doors over four days breaking all previous records.

CCS Gulf Newsletter Issue 06 – August 2014

CCS Gulf hosted Candy 2D & 3D Quantity Take-off (QTO), Subbies & Valuation showcases in Dubai, Doha and Muscat on the 19^th, 20^th and 21^st of May respectively. The seminars showcased Candy’s new QTO module that includes features such as taking off PDF, DWG and DWFX linked to the Candy BoQ as well as exposing users to the extensive features of Candy Subcontract Management and Valuations.

All together over 600 users attended and within 2 days almost 200 downloads of QTO were made, making the event an overwhelming success. The presentation can be downloaded together with the product user guides and demonstration materials here.

CCS Gulf Newsletter Issue 05 – May 2014

CCS Gulf hosted Candy User Seminar in Doha and Muscat on the 18th of march and 15th of April respectively. The seminars were themed “Life after Candy Estimating” and focused on Candy’s extensive Post Tender features, procedures and control ultimately resulting in reliable and accurate projects cost reporting and analysis. Combined, over 300 users attended and it was a great opportunity to see and meet so many of our users.

CCS Gulf Newsletter Issue 04 – February 2014

The annual Big 5 Building and Construction show held in November last year opened its doors to a whopping 3,000 exhibitors from 57 countries and a record breaking 74,474 people in attendance over four days.

CCS Gulf was proudly represented at the show with a rather extraordinary airline themed exhibit stand: a simulated first class airline cabin, complete with snacks and an in-flight movie showcasing what we do, how and where. Even the media took notice with an aptly titled article: “Software Company Flying at Showcase Event”

Additionally CCS’ General Manager, Ian Hauptfleisch and Managing Director, Peter Cheney, presented a seminar on managing and identifying the Biggest Risk in Construction as part of the Educational series held in conjunction with the Big 5 Show. On the 24^th of September, CCS Gulf hosted its 2013 Candy User Seminar at the Millennium Hotel in Dubai. Focusing on Candy’s extensive Post Tender features and using Candy after Estimating, more than 200 users were in attendance on the day and it was a great opportunity to see and meet so many of our users in one place.
